Music-therapy uses music, sound and musical instruments is the rhythm the body to achieve an interaction between the child and the therapist through non-verbal communication when the child cannot communicate, uses pre-linguistic resources to promote the development of language between action and forms of body and musical gesture communication and facilitate joint interaction.

-There is a primary autism in all children in the first months of life that is normal, in some children it is prolonged and behaviors of that period are fixed: move their hands in front of their face and arms, recall sounds they hear from the environment, flap their arms, etc

-there is an apparent developmental delay that must be helped to level

-all verbal or musical expressions child are forms of communication, it is your own communication code, first the children sing, then they speak

-helps connect your body and sensations with the environment

-helps develop language and sensory processing

-decreases the inputs from the outside that are aggressive for these children

-decreases echolalias and stereotypies by lengthening the moments of connection through music

-helps social engagement

Music therapy treatment consists of 45-minute sessions, it can be more or less intensive, one to three sessions per week or every day, 3 or 4 hours each day, then this continuation is started at home with the guidelines given by the therapist before you will see results if you work with music therapy and sensory integration therapy, we use the appropriate materials, such as swings, Bobath balls, large cushions, etc., we need to know what the sensory deficit is and how its behavior is regulated, such as movement, jump, swing, etc.
